]]> This is Billy the Squirrel, a denizen of the Grand Canyon. Billy sat right up and posed for me during my recent weeklong roadtrip to Arizona. I believe he's standing just a little too close to the edge of the canyon rim, though.

]]> My mom's cat, Clyde. I rescued Clyde from the Leon County (Fla.) animal shelter in 1990, the day before he was scheduled to be euthanized. He's named after former Florida State pitcher Clyde Keller.

A Boy and His Bird

]]> This was taken on July 4th when I was down at my mom's house for a cookout. Pepé is a yellow nape parrot that my mom has had for almost 20 years. He gets very excited when people come over, and he especially loves my nephew Alex.

]]> For the holiday, a photo of two (out of three) flags that were flying at an office building in Dunedin. I didn't compose the shot with the third flag in the frame because it was embarrassingly faded.

]]> I took this shot outside my office. I was coming back from lunch and I noticed the shocking blue of the garden hose coiled in back of the building. I picked up the nozzle and saw the words FULL MIST on it, and knew I had to work it into the shot as well.
